Illustration for the DJMAG Top 100 DJ Awards in conjunction with Incharge Recordings artist DJ Marco V.
Used as a 'Your DJ needs you' postcard campaign.
Mixmag - Issue 218
I recently created 3 unique pages of artwork for use in a feature for Mixmag magazine promoting DJ Marco V's forthcoming albums, Propaganda.
Compositions were created that depict his life and interests from childhood to the present day.
Check it out in the Mixmag issue 218 (2009).
Marco V - Propaganda V1
The 1st part of the exclusive 2 part comic for Incharge Recording Artist DJ Marco Vfor his two new studio albums, Propaganda Part One & Two.
I produced the artwork, concept and storyline where we see Marco set in the future trying to free the minds of people that have been brainwashed from an organisation with hidden agendas! Can he save the day?
Please check out the album which is out now and available through Marco's website and all good record stores!
Urban Species
Various designs for t-shirts for clothing store Urban Species, based in Brick Lane, London.
I wanted to create a more modern approuch to the hindu Goddess Kali yet wanted to retain the ideas of eternal energy, time and change the Goddess represents, while staying true to the visions from stories I was told when I was younger. I have seen many images representing the figure as something quite scary and menacing, surrounded by darkness. I tried to create the opposite here and something a bit more organic and fresh.
The second image is called Hi-Tek, inspired by Tron at the time, again mixing the natural with the digital.
Marvel
Iron Man promotional artwork produced for the first Iron Man movie francise from Marvel Entertainment.
The second image was more artwork produced as promotional material for EMI recordings artist Simon Webbe for the title song, 'Ride the storm', from Marvel's Fantastic Four - Rise of the Silver Surfer movie. Both in conjuction with Urban Species.
RGB Interactive Media
As well as illustrating I also have a passion for digital interactivity and creating visually appealing User Interfaces. The examples shown here are various 2D and 3D concepts produced for client RGB Interactive Media.
RGB Interactive Media is a leading kiosk and digital signage solutions provider, I work in collaboration with them producing a wide range of material from concepts to front end User Interfaces. Installations and successful trials are live and span the whole of the UK. RGB clients include Topman/Topshop, Game Plc, Pfizer and many more.
Misc. Projects
Here's a few projects I'm working on or have worked on at some point in time.
VMix was a concept for a DJ application I wanted to develop for the iphone but soon realised that there are issues with playing and calling songs from the users itunes library. The idea was to allow users to learn or practice mixing their favorite songs together which they could then record. The app would feature kill switches, a cross fader, ptch sliders as well as track info and a bpm counter. The user would use there thumbs to scratch, cue and mix the vinyls. Mixing would be accomplished by splitting the lift and right channels on the headphones.
A great time passer, fun, informative and a great app for all those aspiring DJs out there! Would like to develop this when possible so if anyone's interested please give me shout!
The Batman concept was just some fun using sketches and my beloved Wacom tablet visioning a Batman of the future, or for any DC Comics fans out there, a Batman costume for Bruce Wayne's return to the dark side. The original was produced on an A3 page.
The 'Slenky'poster was produced and created while working fulltime as Senior Multimedia Designer for the mobile-centric creative advertising agency, Mobsventures. Slenky is a revolutionary project from Mobsventures which bridges the gap of social networking communities with real life working opportunities and life long experiences.
